Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the ShiftCalc app (the “Application”) for Android, provided by Mheek-Apps (the “Service Provider”). The Application is intended for use “AS IS”.
Summary
ShiftCalc is offline-first. Your shift profiles, patterns, calendar overrides, surcharge rules, holiday data, and preferences are stored locally on your device. The Service Provider does not operate a ShiftCalc user account system and does not receive your roster or pay data as part of normal app use.
Data stored on your device
Depending on how you use the Application, it may store on your device:
- Shift profiles (name, wage, currency, night window, conflict policy)
- Shift types, pattern sequences, and day-level overrides
- Surcharge rules and public-holiday entries (including imported packs or
.icsfiles) - App settings (theme, language, debug entitlement flags on debug builds)
- Optional exports and backups you create (CSV, XLSX, JSON)
- Purchase entitlement state for ShiftCalc Pro (via Google Play Billing on device)
If you uninstall the Application or clear its data, local data may be permanently deleted unless you previously exported or backed it up yourself.
Optional network use
Internet access is not required for core offline use. When online, the Application may:

Contact Google Play Billing services to offer, restore, or verify the one-time ShiftCalc Pro product
(
shiftcalc_pro).
The Application does not upload your profiles, calendars, or pay calculations to servers operated by the Service Provider.
Import and export
If you import roster files, templates, holiday packs, or .ics calendars, that content is
processed on your device. Files you export or share leave the device only when you choose a destination
(for example another app, email, or cloud storage you control).
Widgets
Optional home-screen widgets read local shift data on your device to show the current or upcoming shift. Widget content is not sent to the Service Provider.
Permissions
Depending on features you use, the Application may request:
- Storage / document access — only when you pick files to import or choose where to save exports
- Billing — Google Play purchases
Children
The Application is not directed at children. Do not use the Application if you are not allowed to do so under applicable law.
Data sharing and sale
The Service Provider does not sell your shift or pay data. Data leaves your device only when you initiate optional network features (Google Play Billing) or when you yourself share or export files.
Third-party services
- Google Play / Play Billing — purchases and distribution
Those services have their own privacy policies.
Security
We design the Application to keep your data on-device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a lock screen, and treat unencrypted backups and exports as sensitive.
Your rights and choices
Because most data stays on your device, you can export, delete, or clear it through the Application and Android system settings. For privacy questions about the Application, contact mheek_apps@pm.me.
Changes
