Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the ChargeMate app (the “Application”) for Android, provided by Mheek-Apps (the “Service Provider”). The Application is intended for use “AS IS”.
Summary
ChargeMate is on-device. Battery readings, charging sessions, widget settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. The Service Provider does not operate a ChargeMate user account and does not receive your battery or session data as part of normal app use. There is no in-app analytics SDK and no Firebase.
Data stored on your device
Depending on how you use the Application, it may store on your device:
- Charging sessions (start/end time, battery levels, speed, duration) in a local Room database
- Widget and theme customisation (colours, opacity, visibility toggles)
- App settings (update frequency, notification thresholds, display options)
- Purchase entitlement state for ChargeMate Premium (via Google Play Billing on device)
Battery level, charging current, health, and related figures are read from Android system APIs on your device and are not uploaded to the Service Provider.
If you uninstall the Application or clear its data, local data may be permanently deleted. If Android backup is enabled for the app, the operating system may include ChargeMate data in device backups.
Optional network use
Internet access is not required for core battery monitoring. When online, the Application may:

Contact Google Play Billing to offer, restore, or verify the one-time Premium product
(
premium_upgrade), and open Google Play to redeem promotional codes. - Open this website (privacy policy, terms) or your email app when you tap Legal links in Settings.
The Application does not upload charging history, widget colours, or battery readings to servers operated by the Service Provider.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the Application may show local alerts for a full battery, low battery, or slow charging. Notification content is generated on your device from local battery readings. These alerts currently run while the app process is active; they are not sent through an external push service.
Permissions
Depending on features you use, the Application may request:
- Notifications — optional battery alerts
- Billing — Google Play purchases and promotional-code redemption
The home-screen widget reads the same on-device battery information to display status on your launcher.
Children
The Application is not directed at children. Do not use the Application if you are not allowed to do so under applicable law.
Data sharing and sale
The Service Provider does not sell your battery or charging-session data. Data leaves your device only when you use optional Google Play Billing / Play Store redemption, when you open Legal links, or when Android backup (if enabled) copies app data.
Third-party services
- Google Play / Play Billing — purchases, distribution, and promotional codes
Those services have their own privacy policies.
Security
We design the Application to keep your data on-device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a lock screen.
Your rights and choices
Because most data stays on your device, you can delete it by clearing app data or uninstalling ChargeMate. For privacy questions about the Application, contact mheek_apps@pm.me.
Changes
